There’s a disconnect that happens
As I reconnect my soul.
The fancies of the outer world
Fade into mirages built on twigs.
And as the walls of houses blow down around me,
I grieve the loss of former firm foundations.
As my inner light glows brighter, with each cycle,
the spirit of the world begins to leave me cold.
My heart still aches at the breaking of chains on the path to Self.
But this broken organ is of old,
a remnant of the past.
True heart-blood pumps when ignited from within.
